No. We sell mobile phones which have our controls pre-built into it.

Our software is an operating system that needs to be built separately for every phone model. Therefore, we provide only specific handsets ourselves.

There are plenty of apps out there. However, these apps will always be hacked and breakdown on updates. Further, an app cannot control every aspect of the phone’s system and resources. By integrating our controls in the operating system, we have developed a hack-proof solution that does not require complex setup and configuration by parents.

We are sorry. To use our controls, you will have to use a Qubit phone only. If you already have a phone, we recommend that you may replace it with a Qubit phone.

Yes. Our phones are fully functional smartphones and everything works as long as parents allow it.

Our phones are dual SIM phones and you can put any compatible SIM from any network service provider.

Yes. Google Play Store is available and can be used by the child to download and install any app. However, any new app installed will remain locked until parents allow it.

It is akin to letting your child drive a motorbike designed for adults for some time. The phones being used by you and your family members are not designed for kids. Moreover, your phones may have sensitive messages, emails, and even payment wallets. By mistake, your child might access something which can lead to embarrassment or loss. It may also expose your child to things that may not be desirable. We strongly recommend providing a safe & secure device like Qubit phone to the child to come to terms with technology.

Our base system is Android and therefore, all functionalities of the Android ecosystem such as Google’s apps, Play Store, etc are available.

Updates are a continuous process for us. Since we do not have a vast array of handsets, we focus on updating our software with every major Android update or security patch.

iOS is a closed and proprietary system. The price point of such devices is very different from our devices. We are, therefore, not working on an iOS device.

Currently, our control app is available for Android phones on Google Play Store. Our iOS app will be coming soon.

We only block websites that do not have family-friendly content. Moreover, a safe search is enforced on Google and Bing. We do not track which sites a child is visiting.

We have 2 level filtering meaning that the default browser itself has a built-in filter and there is another filter that checks all internet traffic against known sites not suitable for the family. However, new sites come up every hour and the internet keeps evolving, hence a 100% foolproof solution is technologically very difficult and costly. We strongly advise to allow default browser only and block other browsers.

This can be done only in our lab. If such a need arises, please contact us on support@qubitmobiles.com and we may be able to do this for a nominal fee.

Our phones are designed to work worldwide. They are not locked to any carrier and as long as the country has 4G bands supported by our phones, everything will work. Even the parent and child can be different countries and still parents can control the child’s phone.

If you face any warranty related issues, please write to us at support@qubitmobiles.com and we will guide you through the process.

We provide warranty and service through our channel partners. However, if for any physical damage you want to use a local repair shop, you may do so at your discretion. Please note that any warranty will be void after such repairs. However, we will continue to provide software support and updates.

Controls (such as screen time) built into iOS and Android are primitive and do not cover all existing and evolving parenting needs. These are basic time and app controls that are hacked by children very easily (you can do a search yourself to check this). Qubit has designed the controls keeping in mind different parenting needs and has an exhaustive feature set to cover various use cases. Qubit even provides hardware-level controls such as locking camera, locking data/WiFi, ringing the phone even on silent, overriding fingerprint lock, etc which these apps do not provide.

If you believe that your child has been able to bypass our controls, please check whether Duenna PIN on Qubit’s phone is secure or not. You should change this PIN to something which cannot be easily guessed by a child (such as birthdates or 123456 etc). Also, make sure the child does not have access to parents’ phones which are being used as a remote control. Alternatively, you can enable ‘Always Ask Parent PIN’ in the security settings of Duenna on parents’ phones. If despite these safeguards, you find that controls are being hacked, please write to us and we will investigate the issue.

Please set a secure Duenna PIN on Qubit phone which the child should not be able to guess. For example - do not use the child’s birthday or 123456, etc as the PIN. Also, make sure the child does not have access to parents’ phones which are being used as a remote control. The user guide is integrated into Duenna itself under the ‘Support’ menu item. Alternatively, you can download it from here.

Please check for system updates in settings. If there is any update available, you may download it and follow the instructions to update your phone.

We have designed our system to ensure discipline and good habits. We do not encourage parents to invade the privacy of the child. If parents have a reason to suspect improper usage of any app or internet, they may like to block or limit the app usage and put restrictions on browsing time.

Our default browser is carefully selected to ensure safe browsing. It is strongly recommended to not allow any other browser. However, if you wish to allow any other browser, we recommend to stick to well-known and safe browsers only (such as Chrome, Firefox) and not allow browsers with an in-built VPN or with a dubious reputation.
